Hygiene Hot Melt Adhesive for Disposable Production

Disposable hygiene production is the largest documented application family of the structural adhesive line: construction and elastic adhesives for diapers, sanitary products and care disposables.

A disposable diaper or sanitary product is an adhesive assembly before it is anything else: nonwoven layers, absorbent cores, elastic strands and backsheet films are laminated and fixed by adhesive at line speeds that leave no room for a second chance. The manufacturer's structural adhesive line documents disposable hygiene as its principal application territory, with product listings for diaper construction, sanitary napkin and pad production, pant-style products, pet pads and underpads, and elastic attachment.

Two adhesive jobs dominate hygiene production and they should not be confused. Construction adhesive laminates and fixes the product's structure — core integrity, layer bonding, leg and waist construction — and is judged on bond reliability at very low coat weights. Elastic (positioning) adhesive fixes stretched elastic strands so they keep gathering the product in use, and is judged on holding a live, retracting material without creep. The documented listings treat construction and elastic/positioning as distinct products, and a hygiene enquiry should say which job — usually both, quoted as a pair — it is sourcing.

Documented Hygiene Territory

The manufacturer's hygiene listings are organised by product rather than by one shared specification, so there is no single parameter table for hygiene grades: the values for your construction or elastic position come with the quotation. When you enquire, send the product construction and, for each position, the materials, line speed and coat weight, and verify the quoted grade with samples on your own nonwovens, which is the only test a hygiene producer should accept.

How to Specify This Adhesive

A useful enquiry names five things: the substrate or material being bonded, the application method and equipment, the coat weight in grams per square metre where it is known, the temperature the bond must withstand in service, and the test standard your customer applies. Those five points are the same starting points the manufacturer's own customisation process uses when it opens a new formulation brief, and they let the laboratory match an existing grade before anyone talks about developing a new one.

If you are replacing an adhesive already in production, send its current grade name or a sample description — viscosity behaviour, colour and the failure you are trying to fix (edge lifting, ooze, stringing, cold failure) narrow the choice faster than a catalogue number. Samples are part of the documented route: free samples are listed on many product pages, and the freight arrangement for your sample is confirmed in the reply.

Supply, Packing and Samples

The documented minimum order on product listings is 1,000 kg, consistent with the 1-tonne minimum stated in the manufacturer's published frequently asked questions, and the documented production cycle is 7–15 days. Packing follows the listing for the grade — film-wrapped blocks are the standard form, with carton packing stated per product — and can be confirmed against your handling requirements in the quotation. Nothing on this page promises a grade's availability before the quotation confirms it for your specification.

Construction and elastic grades — one supplier for both?

Both jobs are documented in this line, and hygiene plants normally quote them together. State both positions in the enquiry so the pair is matched as a system.

Do you publish hygiene grade parameters here?

No — the listings are product-specific rather than one shared specification, so parameters for your construction or elastic position come with the quotation and sample.

Which hygiene products are covered?

Documented listings cover baby and adult diapers, sanitary products, pet pads, underpads and related disposables.
