Mattress Hot Melt Adhesive

Mattress glue is a documented sub-line of the polyolefin family: adhesive for bonding the layers, foams and pocket-spring assemblies of mattress production.

A mattress is a laminated structure under permanent load: foams, felts, fabrics and pocket-spring units bonded together and then compressed, rolled, shipped and slept on for years. The adhesive's job is unglamorous and absolute — hold the layers without a hard, crackling bond line, survive the heat of a container and the cold of a warehouse, and apply fast enough to keep a mattress line moving. The manufacturer's mattress glue is documented as a sub-line of its polyolefin family, and the EVA granule page also names spring mattress production among its applications — two documented routes into the same factory problem, chosen by equipment and construction.

The choice between them is a production decision. Spray or bead application of a polyolefin grade suits layer lamination and pocket-spring assembly where open time lets operators position components. A granule-fed EVA system suits lines built around pellet metering. What neither route allows is choosing by price per kilo alone: the real cost drivers are coat weight per mattress, line stoppages from stringing or charring, and field failures — a delaminated mattress costs more than any adhesive saving. Mattress enquiries should therefore be built around the construction and the line, not around a grade name.

What a Mattress Enquiry Should State

With those four points the grade and its form (block or granule route) can be quoted specifically, and the sample can be tested the way mattresses are actually tested — bonded, compressed, aged and then inspected at the bond line. The manufacturer's mattress listings are application products rather than one shared specification, so there is no single parameter table for mattress glue: parameters for your construction arrive with the quotation.

How to Specify This Adhesive

A useful enquiry names five things: the substrate or material being bonded, the application method and equipment, the coat weight in grams per square metre where it is known, the temperature the bond must withstand in service, and the test standard your customer applies. Those five points are the same starting points the manufacturer's own customisation process uses when it opens a new formulation brief, and they let the laboratory match an existing grade before anyone talks about developing a new one.

If you are replacing an adhesive already in production, send its current grade name or a sample description — viscosity behaviour, colour and the failure you are trying to fix (edge lifting, ooze, stringing, cold failure) narrow the choice faster than a catalogue number. Samples are part of the documented route: free samples are listed on many product pages, and the freight arrangement for your sample is confirmed in the reply.

Supply, Packing and Samples

The documented minimum order on product listings is 1,000 kg, consistent with the 1-tonne minimum stated in the manufacturer's published frequently asked questions, and the documented production cycle is 7–15 days. Packing follows the listing for the grade — film-wrapped blocks are the standard form, with carton packing stated per product — and can be confirmed against your handling requirements in the quotation. Nothing on this page promises a grade's availability before the quotation confirms it for your specification.

Polyolefin or EVA for mattresses?

Both are documented routes in this catalogue: mattress glue sits in the polyolefin line, and spring mattress production is named on the EVA granule page. Equipment and construction decide; state both in the enquiry.

Does the bond stay flexible?

Flexibility without a hard bond line is the design intent of mattress lamination grades. It is verified on your construction in the sample stage, including after compression.

Is roll-packing a problem?

Roll-packed mattresses load the bond early and keep it loaded. State the packing route in the enquiry so open time and early strength are specified for it.
